HTC Hero receives update for Nordic users, UK users hold tight

The highly anticipated software update (ROM) for the HTC Hero has just been released for Nordic users.  If you’ve already forgotten, this is the update that addresses all those laggy speed concerns that we’ve been reading about in reviews.  Unfortunately those of you in the UK will have to a wait a bit longer than expected, but it shouldn’t be too much longer.  If the lack of a UK HTC Hero update still has you down think about it, here in the US we don’t even have a carrier offering the HTC Hero until October.  Now a word of caution before you Nordic users go out and download the HTC Update: wait to download and install the update until tomorrow! Swedroid.com has noticed some problems with the update and HTC has confirmed that users must wait until tomorrow to download and install; you have been warned.
