A new Android smartphone from LG has just been launched in India. LG Electronics today introduced the new Android Gingerbread smartphone namely the Optimus Net P690. The phone offers enhanced multimedia support, enhanced power management and better gaming support. The Optimus Net P690 features an integrated social widget that provides one-click photo sharing with multiple social media accounts from the home screen. In addition, the phone also provides a 3.2-inch HVGA (320 x 480) display, a 1500mAh battery, an 800MHz CPU, and the LG SmartShare function that allows easy sharing of content with other DLNA-friendly devices. Verizon Wireless and LG will release a new messaging phone namely the LG Cosmos 2. The handset has a four-row QWERTY keyboard and access to Facebook, MySpace and Twitter, making it easy to stay connected while on-the-go. The LG Cosmos 2 also features a document viewer, a 1.3-megapixel camera, a microSD card slot (up to 32GB), a music player, Bluetooth 2.1+ EDR (Enhanced Data Rate) and a 3.5mm headphone jack. LG has come out with another dual SIM phone for the Russian market. Called the A230, this candybar phone features a 1.77-inch 128 x 160 display, a 256MB of internal memory, a microSD card slot (up to 8GB), dual SIM card slots, a 1.3MP camera, an MP3 player, an FM radio, Bluetooth, a 950mAh battery and works in GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity. Wind Mobile has decided to launch the LG Optimus 2X and Huawei U6150 in Canada. FYI, the LG Optimus 2X has a dual-core 1GHz nVidia Tegra 2 processor, a 4-inch (480×800) capacitive touchscreen with Gorilla Glass, an 8MP AutoFocus rear camera with 1080p HD video recording capabilities, a front-facing 1.3MP camera and an 8GB of internal storage space. The phone also provides a microSD card slot for more storage space, a 512MB of RAM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G, GPS, and a 1500mAh battery.

AT&T is reportedly preparing to launch the all new LG Thrill 4G 3D on their network this summer, however, the exact release date is still unknown at the moment. 3D displays are all the rage with hardware manufacturers specializing on technology ranging from HD televisions to mobile devices getting down on the fun. In the mobile sector there are two different devices that have really been gaining a ton of buzz in regards to 3D display technology which are the Nintendo 3DS and HTC EVO 3D – both of which feature a glasses-free 3D display.

Well, it seems that these aren’t the only two devices that will feature such a display as it was just made known that LG will be bringing a similar device to AT&T later this year. The smartphone in question here is none other than the LG Thrill 4G which features a glasses-free 3D display, dual-core processor, dual 5 megapixel rear facing cameras for 3D imagery, 1.3 megapixel front facing camera, Android ‘Froyo’ 2.2 and connectivity for AT&T’s 4G network
