Motorola MB810 could be the rumored Shadow

05-02-10shadowWe’ve heard that the Motorola Shadow could be the Nexus Two, and we just heard that a particular model of a Motorola product known as the MB810 has achieved Wi-Fi certification.

This device is equipped with 802.11 b/g/n as well as a cellular data connection, and it will be either in GSM or CDMA. This leaked handset also has 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen, an eight megapixel camera with HD video capability, and a sliding QWERTY keyboard.

Is it possible that the MB810 is the Shadow? Or is it really Lamont Cranston?

Motorola Shadow is Google Nexus Two?

Motorola Shadow is Google Nexus Two?

Just before the New Year an image of the Motorola Shadow leaked across the web.  Today, rumors began circulating that this device could be the follow up to the Google Nexus One- the Nexus Two.  The folks over at Mobile01 have release two renderings of the Motorola Shadow, a device which looks very much like the current Motorola Droid but with a slightly different keyboard and a wrist strap.  The idea that the Motorola Shadow could the Nexus Two confirms reports that Google will be launching a series of Android smartphones, the second of which would be an enterprise device with keyboard. The rumored features of Motorola Shadow / Google Nexus Two include a 4.3 inch WVGA touchscreen display, HMDI port, and an 8MP camera with HD video recording.  Of course all of this information is subject to change, but if the rumors prove true we’d love to see a more powerful Motorola Droid/Milestone and are more than ready to line up for a pre-order.

Motorola’s big CES 2010 device announcements

Motorola's big CES 2010 device announcements

Rumor has it that Motorola will be making two device announcements on January 6 at CES 2010 in Las Vegas, Nevada.  The first device is allegedly landing on At&t, with the most likely prediction being the Motorola Motus (At&t’s version of the Motorola CLIQ).  The second device is expected to launch on Verizon Wireless and will most likely be the Motorola Calgary (OLED screen, soft keyboard).  Of course all of this information is open to interpretation, but Global Equities Research analyst Trip Chowdhry has plenty of reasons to believe it will happen.

In other Motorola news, the manufacturer is reported to be releasing another high-end Android smartphone in the Chinese Mobile Market.  After announcing the Motorola XT800, Motorola MT710 and Motorola XT701 last week, the Motorola Shadow (Mirage) is now expected to follow.  The Motorola Shadow, also known as the Motorola Mirage, features a 4.3-inch WVGA resolution display making it the Android equivalent of the HTC HD2.  The device is rumored to feature a HDMI video out, 8-megapixel camera, 1080P HD video playback and measure just 9mm thick.
